Motor Homes Based on Sprinter Vans
The stock Sprinter Van (10 Passenger Intermediate Wheel Base Model 2500) was road tested by Car and Driver Magazine when it first came out. Car and Driver verified an astounding 30mpg on the Highway! EPA estimate is 26 City and 30 Highway for the model tested. What kind of mileage you will get in a heavier custom upfitted Motorhome is hard to say, but it's likely better than any Motor Home on the road. The trade off is these are EXPENSIVE vehicles and you can purchase many of the smaller Class A's for the same coin (But they only get 8 to 10 mpg). The maximum speed on these vans is about 85mph, and Car and Driver did not specify in their review how fast they drove the vehicle to get 30mpg. Honestly, we didn't like these too well when they first came out; but they are growing on us!
Airstream Sprinter Motor Home USA - Ohio
We personally own a B190 Airstream and I can attest to the quality of the interior components Airstream Uses. Airstream's reputation is well deserved, and I'm sure these Sprinter Van conversions are outstanding quality but a bit on the spendy side. Of course that's all relative to your own personal income status. Website: www.Airstream.com
Great West Vans Canada
Yes they have a model based on the Sprinter Chassis now. Why are so many of the quality vans coming out of Canada? Great West makes a quality product. In fact, they have the finest online tour of the steps taken to produce a Class B Motorhome I've seen. Don't buy any New Class B Motorhome until you have visited their website and seen how they are made! Why can't more companies make websites like this? Website: www.GreatWestVans.com
Gulf Stream Coach USA - Indiana
The Conquest Vista is an absolutely beautiful Touring Coach based on the Mercedes Sprinter Van. Gulfstream's Touring Cruisers are really Mini C's, but the market seems to love the Mini C format. Very nicely appointed interiors. Website: No longer manufacturing motorized RV's.
Leisure Travel Vans Canada & USA - North Dakota
Beautifully appointed luxury Sprinter Van models. If good looks in your Class B are important then Leisure Travel is a must see. We love the excellent detailed drawings of the available floor plans posted on their site. If we were looking for a brand new unit Leisure Travel would be on the list for sure - they are one of the few manufacturers that offer a full 80" tall bed due to their slightly widened rear bodies. These are great examples of what we call "B+" vans. Website: RIP - out of business.
Pleasure Way Vans Canada
Like most manufacturers who used to use the Dodge Chassis Pleasure Way has added a very attractive model of the Sprinter Van to their line up. Website: www.PleasureWay.com
